The event
Where and when is State of Social?
State of Social is on Tuesday 24 & Wednesday 25 August 2027 at Optus Stadium, Perth. Plan your trip, book your accommodation or add the dates to your calendar.
What is State of Social?
A once-a-year chance to step back from the noise and see what is shaping digital and social marketing. SOS27 is the tenth edition.
Across two days, practitioners show their work: what they tested, what broke and what they would change. They are not here to sell, posture or recycle the obvious. They are here with ideas you can use the week you get back.
Who is State of Social for?
Anyone who does marketing, or pays for it. In-house teams, agencies, founders, creators and students. Not sure it is you? See who attends.
Who is speaking?
The first SOS27 names land on the Speakers page as they are confirmed. The waitlist hears first. Want a look at who has spoken before? See the past speakers.
Is there food?
Yes, and plenty of it. Expect gourmet eats, thoughtful snacks and bottomless barista-brewed coffee from Hunt And Brew, from a morning bite to a buffet lunch and afternoon treats. And yes, there is American candy too.
What about my dietary needs?
Add them to your ticket on the My ticket page. The link is in your ticket email. Do it before 1 August 2027. The Optus Stadium catering team plans for every dietary need, allergies included.
Will there be WiFi?
Of course. There is complimentary internet access in the River View Room at Optus Stadium. Live-streaming the event is not allowed, so do not get cheeky.
What is the dress code?
Whatever makes you happy. Business casual never goes wrong. Bring layers: the temperature in the River View Room at Optus Stadium is set for the majority, and it is often cold, so plan ahead.
What is the weather like?
Perth has a Mediterranean climate and more hours of sunshine than any other Australian capital. Late August brings cool mornings and mild afternoons. Check the current weather.
Is there a coat check?
No. Optus Stadium has no coat check or luggage storage, and State of Social is not responsible for lost belongings, so keep an eye on yours.
Flying in or out on the day? Leave your luggage with the concierge at your hotel before you head to the stadium.
Is the venue accessible?
Optus Stadium caters for everyone, regardless of age, experience or ability. Its design aims to exceed accessibility codes, not just meet them. Have a specific requirement? Get in touch so it can be planned for, or read about access and inclusion.
Are there any age restrictions?
No one under 18 is allowed in session rooms at any time.
I am nursing. Can you help?
Children are not allowed at State of Social, but there is a private Lactation Room for anyone who needs to pump. Ask any member of staff and they will direct you to a quiet, comfortable suite with a refrigerator and sink.
What are the health and safety measures?
Do the right thing. If you are unwell, stay home and keep your germs to yourself. If you can send someone in your place, have them head straight to the registration desk on arrival for guidance. Questions or concerns? Get in touch.
Is there a Privacy policy and Code of conduct?
Yes. Read the Privacy policy, the Code of conduct and the Terms & conditions.

Can I go to Day One and send my colleague to Day Two?
No. Tickets are issued per delegate and give access to specific days. One ticket is one person.
Each All Access ticket also includes recordings, which are linked to the registered delegate, so tickets cannot be split or shared. State of Social is built as two days that build on each other, so the best experience is both of you at both days.
Can I bring a guest?
Nope. One ticket, one delegate. Wear your lanyard and wristband at all times to get into sessions. Need a Companion Ticket? Get in touch.
